WorldFirst publishes its standard conversion rate as “up to” 0.5% on major currencies and the fee for other currencies as a range, so those results are a ceiling or a range, not a quote. After the first six months it publishes no rate for currencies that are not major. WorldFirst is not open to US-based businesses.

The last column adds the 0.3% conversion a new customer pays when the payment is converted from pounds; pounds within the UK, and payments to another WorldFirst account, need no conversion. Other currencies cost between £4.62 and £23.00 a payment, depending on where they go.

The six-month rate, and after

New customers convert at 0.3% for their first 6 months. After that, WorldFirst prices major currencies at up to 0.5%, and publishes only that ceiling. For currencies that are not major, it publishes no rate after the first six months.

On a £10,000 payment to the US from pounds, that is £30.77 in your first six months and up to £50.77 after. Businesses turning over £100,000 or more a month can ask for custom pricing.
