Why These Validation Tools Are Essential

Ever sent money to the wrong account because of a typo? Or had a payment fail because of an invalid card number? These simple mistakes cost businesses millions every year. Our instant validators catch these errors before they happen—saving you time, money, and headaches.

What You Get with Our Validators

Prevent Payment Failures

Check credit card numbers and IBANs before hitting "send." Our validators use the same algorithms banks use—catching format errors, invalid checksums, and fake numbers instantly.

Stay Compliant

Verify VAT numbers before invoicing EU customers. Check EORI codes for customs declarations. Validate BIC/SWIFT for international transfers. Avoid compliance fines and delays.

Catch Errors Early

One mistyped digit in an IBAN can send €10,000 to the wrong account. Our validators spot these mistakes in milliseconds, before the money leaves your account.

Save Time & Money

Failed transactions cost $5–50 each to reverse. Compliance violations? Even more. Our free tools help you avoid these costs before they happen.

Real-World Use Cases

  • E-commerce: Validate credit cards before charging customers, reducing payment failures and chargebacks
  • International Wire Transfers: A friend tried sending €5,000 to Spain—one wrong digit in the IBAN, and it bounced back 3 days later with fees. Our IBAN validator would've caught it in 2 seconds.
  • EU Business Transactions: Invoicing a German client? Validate their VAT number first. If it's wrong, you could face tax issues months later. EORI codes? Essential for Brexit customs—get them right the first time.
  • E-commerce & Publishing: Listing books online? Invalid ISBN numbers mean your books won't show up in searches. Amazon, Google Books—they all rely on correct ISBNs for cataloging.
  • Payroll & HR: SSN format validation helps catch typos during employee onboarding. It won't tell you if the SSN is real (only the SSA can do that), but it'll spot obvious mistakes.

What each validator checks

Every tool here verifies the format and checksum of an identifier — it confirms the number is well-formed, not that the underlying account or registration is live. Here is the algorithm behind each one:

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this really free?

Yes — every validator here is free, with no limits, no sign-up and no hidden fees. They run entirely in your browser, so you can validate as many numbers as you like. The site is supported by ads, not by charging for the tools.

How does the credit card validator work?

It uses the Luhn algorithm — the same checksum your bank uses. Every card number ends in a check digit calculated from the rest, so a made-up 16-digit number has only about a one-in-ten chance of passing. Important: this only confirms the format is valid; it cannot tell you whether a card is active, stolen, or has funds. Only the issuing bank knows that.

Which bank accounts can I validate?

The IBAN validator covers 70+ countries across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, checking the country code, length and mod-97 checksum. For an international transfer, also validate the bank’s BIC/SWIFT code so the payment routes to the right institution as well as the right account.

Is my data safe when I use these?

Yes. Every check runs locally in your browser with JavaScript — no number you type is sent to, logged by, or stored on our servers. You could disconnect from the internet and the validators would still work. As a habit, never post sensitive numbers like an SSN or card number publicly.

What should I do if a validator says my number is invalid?

First check for typos — a single wrong character fails the checksum. For high-stakes numbers like an IBAN or VAT number, confirm with the issuing authority (the bank or tax office), since these tools verify format and checksums but cannot tell you whether an account or registration is currently active.
