Our fee calculators run entirely in your browser. There is no account to create and nothing to sign up for.

Calculator Usage

• Calculator inputs are processed locally in your browser
• No transfer amounts or personal financial data are transmitted to our servers
• No account creation or personal information required

Website Analytics

Google Analytics tells us how the site is being used, without telling us who you are:

• Page views and navigation patterns
• Device and browser information
• General geographic location (country level only)
• Referral sources

Contact Form (Optional)

If you choose to write to us through the form on our contact page, we collect what you type into it:

• Your name
• Your email address
• The subject and message you write

Submissions are handled by Netlify Forms, our hosting provider, and we use them only to reply to you. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not use the address for marketing.

We use the information we collect to:

• Run the site: Keep pages loading quickly and fix what breaks
• Reply to you: Answer a message you send us through the contact form
• See what gets used: Find out which calculators and guides people actually need
• Stop abuse: Spot scraping, spam and fraudulent ad clicks

The figures we publish, such as how much a corridor typically costs, come from provider pricing rather than from anything about our visitors. If we ever share usage data, it is aggregated and cannot be traced back to a person.

The strongest thing we can say about security is how little there is to secure. We hold no accounts, no passwords and no payment details, because we never ask for any. The site is served over HTTPS, and the one place personal information exists is the contact form, which Netlify stores for us behind our own login.

No site can promise it will never be breached. What we can promise is that a breach here would expose contact messages, and nothing financial.

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We and our partners use them for three separate jobs:

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to analyze website traffic and user behavior. Google Analytics collects information anonymously and reports website trends without identifying individual visitors.

Netlify

Our website is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify's servers receive your IP address and browser in order to deliver the page, and handle them under their own privacy policy. We have not enabled Netlify Analytics, so none of that is reported back to us. We never see your IP address.

What we do see is the contact form. Netlify handles those submissions, so anything you write in that form is stored there for us to read and reply to.

Because the only personal information we hold is a contact-form message, these rights are simple to exercise. Email us and we will act on them.

• Access: Request information we have about you
• Correct: Request correction of inaccurate information
• Delete: Request deletion of your information
• Object: Ask us to stop processing information you have sent us

Opt-Out of Personalized Advertising

You will still see the same number of ads either way. They just stop being matched to you.

We may update this privacy policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated by:

• Posting the updated policy on this page
• Updating the "Last updated" date at the top

Continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

The TransferFees Android app (on Google Play) follows the same privacy-first approach as this website. It works without an account, a login, or any personal or financial information.

Stored on your device only

• Saved comparisons and rate alerts
• Your light/dark theme preference

These stay on your device and are removed when you uninstall the app. We never receive them.

Sent to our servers

Only the currency pair and amount you enter, so our API can return live comparison figures. Nothing that identifies you, and no account or contact details.

Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

• Anonymous usage and device information (screens viewed, app version, device model, country)
• Transfer amounts are bucketed into broad ranges before sending, never your exact figure
• You can turn analytics off at any time in the app under More

Advertising (Google AdMob)

• The app shows banner ads; Google may use an advertising identifier to serve them
• In the EEA and UK we ask for your consent (Google's consent form) before any personalized ads; you can change your choice under More › Privacy
• The opt-out links in Your Rights & Choices above also apply

Permissions

• Notifications: to alert you when a saved rate target is reached
• Internet: to fetch live rates and comparison data
