Advertising Disclosure
TransferFees is free to use because it is funded by advertising and affiliate commissions. Here is exactly how that works, and the firewall between it and what we recommend.
How we make money
- Affiliate commissions. When you open an account or start a transfer through some of our outbound links, the provider may pay us a commission. Those links are marked with standard affiliate attributes.
- Advertising. We display ads on the site.
Either way, there is no extra cost to you: you pay the provider exactly what you would if you had gone to them directly.
What it does not affect
A commercial relationship never buys a better ranking on TransferFees. It does not change:
- How our calculators and live comparisons rank providers: that is driven by total cost, cheapest first.
- The order or verdicts in our editorial comparisons and "alternatives" pages.
- Which providers we include or leave out.
We also compare providers we earn nothing from, and we will rank a partner below a non-partner whenever the numbers say so. How we calculate cost is set out in our methodology.
Promoted placements
Some comparisons carry a single slot above the results, labelled Promoted. That slot is advertising, and the provider in it pays to be there.
It is deliberately kept outside the ranking rather than placed at the top of it:
- It carries no rank number, and never the “lowest cost” badge unless it genuinely is cheapest.
- The promoted provider still appears in the ranked results below, at the position its cost earns, with the same figures as every other provider. Nothing is removed or reordered to make room for it.
- It shows the same numbers as its ranked row, including how far behind the cheapest option it is.
So the ranking you see below a promoted slot is the same ranking you would see if nobody paid us anything. If a promoted provider is more expensive than the cheapest one, the comparison says so on the row itself.
Independence and accuracy
Keeping this line bright is the whole point of our editorial policy. We are an independent service and are not endorsed by the companies whose fees we compare; all product names and logos belong to their respective owners. If you ever think a ranking looks influenced by commercial interest, tell us through our corrections policy. We take that seriously.
