Ramp's pricing lists no lower card or bill pay fee on Plus: what it adds is software (AI expense reviews, batch payments, NetSuite and Sage Intacct integrations, multi-entity support). Ramp offers a 30-day free trial of Plus. Ask Ramp for the platform fee on your team size before you compare totals.

Ramp’s prices, US and UK

Ramp publishes two price lists. The US list prices the plans, every bill payment method and the card FX cap; the UK list, live since September 15, 2026, publishes the £0 Free plan and quotes everything else.

In Ramp's words: “When paying out of a Ramp Checking Account, transaction fees for standard ACH, standard check, same-day ACH, domestic wires, and SWIFT transfers are waived. Fees for overnight check delivery and check attachments still apply.” Bill Pay itself is on the free plan, so a business paying mostly by ACH pays very little: forty ACH payments, three domestic wires and two SWIFT wires a month come to $108.60 from another bank account.

In the UK, Ramp publishes no bill pay fee. Its UK terms say: “Sending a domestic bank transfer may have an associated fee, which will be disclosed prior to processing of the Bill Payment request.” International money transfer services are provided by Wise.

What Plus costs, and what it buys

Ramp Plus is a per-user subscription. A team of 20 pays $300 a month on monthly billing, or $240 a month billed annually, and then a platform fee “based on team size” that Ramp does not publish.

Ramp's pricing lists no lower card or bill pay fee on Plus, so it does not pay for itself in fees the way some plans do. It is the software: in the US, ai-driven expense reviews and policy insights, automated batch payments, payment release approvals, netsuite, sage intacct, and more integrations, support for multi-entity businesses. In the UK, Ramp Plus adds multi-entity and multi-currency operations (including USD and EUR), custom cashback and ERP integrations such as NetSuite and Sage Intacct. Ramp offers a 30-day free trial of Plus in the US.

The platform fee is not published. Ramp prices Plus at $15 a user plus a platform fee based on team size, and names no amount for it. Ask for that figure before you compare Plus with another tool.

Who can open Ramp

United States
Be registered in the United States
Be a corporation, limited liability company, or LP (nonprofits welcome); not individuals, sole proprietors or other unregistered businesses
Have at least $25,000 in cash in any US business bank account linked to your application
Have most of your operations and corporate spending in the US
Have a physical US address (not a PO box, virtual office, registered agent or mail-forwarding address)
An employer identification number (EIN)
United Kingdom
A UK-registered entity
Built for UK-headquartered businesses that primarily spend in GBP
A finance workflow on Xero, QuickBooks Online or a supported ERP (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central)
No personal guarantee: cards are underwritten on the business
Ramp is for companies, not sole traders. In the US it is “not accepting individuals, sole proprietors, and other types of unregistered businesses”. In the UK, its agreement has the company confirm that it “does not classify itself and would not be classified as a consumer, micro or small enterprise under any laws and regulations applicable to the provision of the Services”. Neither market needs a personal guarantee.

A spend platform, not a currency account

Ramp runs company spending: cards with limits, receipts, approvals, reimbursements and supplier bills, synced to the accounting system. It does not compete on holding and converting currencies: in the UK, Free plan cards settle in GBP, and operating in other currencies is a Plus feature.

So the comparison depends on the job. To replace the cards and expense side of an account such as Revolut Business, see the Revolut Business alternatives and Airwallex alternatives. To receive, hold and convert several currencies, compare multi-currency business accounts instead; many companies run one of each.

About Ramp

Assumptions and limits

What this calculator does and does not cover
Every figure comes from Ramp’s own pricing, product and legal pages, read on the date below. Anything Ramp does not publish is shown as not published, never estimated.
The US Plus cost is $15 a user a month ($12 on annual billing) and leaves out the platform fee, which Ramp does not publish.
Card FX is the 3% ceiling in Ramp’s US card terms, the most a charge can carry; the actual margin can be lower and varies by currency and customer.
Bill pay covers the five main US methods; overnight check delivery and check attachments are in the table.
The UK figures are limited to what Ramp publishes: the £0 Free plan and the features of each plan.
A static calculation from published prices, not a quote or an account-specific rate.

Ramp pricing: common questions

01

How much does Ramp cost?

In the US, Ramp Free is $0 a user a month, Ramp Plus is $15 a user a month plus a platform fee based on team size (20% less with annual billing), and Enterprise is priced on request. Ramp does not publish the platform fee. In the UK, Free is £0 a user and Ramp Plus is priced on request with annual billing. On top of the plan, US bill payments carry a fee per method, from $0.59 for a standard ACH to $20 for an international SWIFT wire.

02

Is Ramp really free?

The Free plan has no per-user fee and includes corporate cards, expense management and bill pay. What you can still pay for: bill payments by method in the US (standard ACH $0.59, same-day ACH $10, domestic wire $15, SWIFT $20, check $1.99), and a currency conversion margin of up to 3% when a US card is used in another currency. Ramp says you can issue unlimited virtual and physical cards at no extra cost.

03

What are Ramp’s bill pay fees?

In the US: standard ACH $0.59, standard check $1.99, same-day ACH $10, domestic wire $15, international wire (SWIFT USD) $20, overnight check delivery $20 and check attachments $1 a page. Paid from a Ramp Checking Account, the first five are waived. Forty ACH payments, three domestic wires and two SWIFT wires in a month come to $108.60 from another bank account. Ramp does not publish UK bill pay fees: its UK terms say a fee "will be disclosed prior to processing".

04

Does Ramp charge foreign transaction fees?

On US cards, Ramp's card terms say its currency conversion margin "will not exceed three percent (3%)", so $1,000 of foreign spend costs at most $30. The cap is a ceiling, not the rate, and the margin can vary by currency and customer. Ramp's UK card terms state no figure. Enterprise customers can issue local-currency cards in 30+ countries.

05

Is Ramp available in the UK?

Yes. Ramp announced on September 15, 2026 that it is live in the UK, with corporate cards, expense management, bill payments and accounting automation. UK cards are GBP-settled and issued by Stripe Payments UK Limited. The Free plan is £0 a user; Ramp Plus, which adds multi-entity and multi-currency operations, is priced by Ramp's UK team.

06

Who can open a Ramp account?

In the US, a corporation, LLC or LP (nonprofits welcome) registered in the US, with at least $25,000 in cash in a US business bank account, most of its operations and spending in the US, a physical US address and an EIN. In the UK, a UK-registered company headquartered in the UK that spends mainly in GBP and runs its finances on Xero, QuickBooks Online or a supported ERP.

07

Can sole traders or freelancers use Ramp?

No. In the US, Ramp says it is "not accepting individuals, sole proprietors, and other types of unregistered businesses". In the UK, its agreement has the company confirm that it "does not classify itself and would not be classified as a consumer, micro or small enterprise under any laws and regulations applicable to the provision of the Services". Ramp is built for registered companies with a finance team, not for individuals.

08

Does Ramp need a personal guarantee?

No. Ramp says it does not require founders to personally guarantee the card, in the US or the UK; it sets the limit from the business’s own finances, such as its cash balance, cash flow and revenue.

09

Does Ramp offer cashback?

In the US, Ramp's own comparison page puts its card cashback at "up to 1.5%"; its pricing page names no rate. In the UK, Ramp Plus offers "custom cashback, tailored to the programme and committed spend". In the US, you can pay for Ramp Plus with the rewards you earn.

10

Is Ramp a bank?

No. Ramp says it is a financial technology company and not a bank. In the US, its cards are issued by partner banks (Celtic Bank, Column N.A., Sutton Bank and Lead Bank) and deposits are held by First Internet Bank of Indiana, Member FDIC. In the UK, cards are issued by Stripe Payments UK Limited, an electronic money institution authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (firm reference number 900461).

11

Is Ramp a multi-currency account?

No. Ramp is a spend platform: cards, expenses, reimbursements and bill pay. In the UK, cards on the Free plan settle in GBP (bills can be paid in most currencies), and operating in other currencies, including USD and EUR, is a Ramp Plus feature. To hold, receive and convert several currencies, compare multi-currency business accounts such as Wise Business or Airwallex instead.

Opening a Ramp account

The Free plan has no per-user fee in either market, so a sensible order is to apply on Free, run a month of real cards and bills, and ask Ramp for the Plus price on your team size only once you need what Plus adds. Check the eligibility list above first: Ramp approves registered companies, not individuals.
