What the $69 actually buys

On price, Pro changes one thing: the percentage on card payments. Domestic cards go from 2.7% to 2.5% and international cards from 3.5% to 3.2%. The $0.20 per payment stays, and so does every transfer and FX price.

So the question is your card volume, not your number of payments. Pro covers its $69 at $34,500 a month in domestic card payments, or $23,000 in international ones, and saves money above that. A business that mainly sends payouts and never accepts cards gains nothing on fees from Pro, though it may still want the higher limits: 140 payout currencies instead of 54, more cards and sub-accounts, and 24/7 chat. For how this pricing shape compares across the category, see the fintech fees hub.

Pro has an annual fee UQPAY does not price. Its pricing FAQ says annual fees apply to Pro and Enterprise without naming an amount, so get that figure before you count on the saving.

About UQPAY

UQPAY is a Singapore-headquartered payments platform for businesses. Its Global Account lets a registered business collect, hold, convert and pay across ordinary bank rails and stablecoin networks, and manage the balances and transaction records in one place.

It is for registered businesses only, not personal use: opening an account takes KYB verification of the business and its directors. It collects AUD, EUR, GBP, SGD and USD through local accounts in the company's name and other major currencies through SWIFT, holds 14 fiat currencies, and pays out by local clearing, SWIFT or on-chain. UQPAY is a non-bank financial institution and a Principal Member of Visa, Mastercard and UnionPay International.

Assumptions and limits

What this calculator does and does not cover
Every figure comes from UQPAY’s published pricing page. Products it sells without a published price are named, not estimated.
Transfer and FX results are UQPAY's published starting prices (local from $0.20, FX from 0.25%) or range (SWIFT $15–$35). The real price on your corridor can be higher.
Card payment fees and the Basic-or-Pro comparison are exact: UQPAY publishes both rates in full.
The plan comparison counts card acceptance only, because payout and FX prices are the same on both plans. It leaves out Pro’s unpriced annual fee and its free first month.
UQPAY Pte. Ltd. is a licensed Major Payment Institution in Singapore (MAS licence No. PS20200641).
A static calculation from a published price list, not a live quote or an account-specific rate.

UQPAY pricing: common questions

01

How much does UQPAY cost?

UQPAY publishes three plans: Basic at $0 a month, Pro at $69 a month with the first month free, and Enterprise on custom pricing. Local transfers start from $0.20, a SWIFT transfer is $15–$35, and FX starts from 0.25%, the same on Basic and Pro. Accepting cards costs 2.7% + $0.20 for domestic cards and 3.5% + $0.20 for international ones on Basic, and 2.5% + $0.20 and 3.2% + $0.20 on Pro.

02

What does UQPAY charge to send money abroad?

A local transfer starts from $0.20 and a SWIFT transfer costs $15–$35, whether you choose SHA or OUR. If the money changes currency, UQPAY's FX starts from 0.25%. So $10,000 converted and sent by local transfer costs from $25.20: $0.20 for the transfer plus $25 for the conversion. These are starting prices, not a rate per currency, so ask UQPAY for the rate on your corridor.

03

What are UQPAY’s card processing fees?

On Basic, 2.7% + $0.20 for domestic cards and 3.5% + $0.20 for international cards. On Pro, 2.5% + $0.20 and 3.2% + $0.20. A $100 domestic card payment on Basic costs $2.90, and an international one $3.70. Local payment methods carry their own "Payment Method Fee", which UQPAY does not publish.

04

Is UQPAY Pro worth $69 a month?

For card acceptance, Pro saves 0.2% on domestic cards and 0.3% on international cards; the $0.20 per payment and every payout and FX price stay the same. So Pro covers its cost at $34,500 a month in domestic card payments or $23,000 in international ones. Below that, Basic is cheaper on fees. Pro also raises the limits: 140 payout currencies instead of 54, 1,000 virtual cards instead of 300, and 24/7 chat. Its first month is free.

05

Does UQPAY charge to receive money?

UQPAY does not publish a fee for opening a Global Account or for collecting money into one, on its pricing page or on its Global Collect page. It says you can collect in USD, EUR, GBP, SGD and AUD under your company name on local rails, and in multiple major currencies by SWIFT. With no published price, we do not estimate one.

06

What exchange rate does UQPAY use?

UQPAY's pricing page lists FX from 0.25% on Basic and Pro, and custom pricing on Enterprise. "From" is a floor: the margin on a given currency pair can be higher. Its FX page also offers same-day (T+0) and standard spot (T+2) settlement, and forward contracts for up to 12 months.

07

Is UQPAY regulated?

Yes. UQPAY serves each market through a local entity: UQPAY Pte. Ltd. in Singapore (major Payment Institution licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, licence PS20200641); UQPAY Inc. in United States (money Services Business registered with FinCEN (NMLS ID 2672177), and a Money Transmitter Licence from the Arkansas Securities Department); UQPAY Limited in Hong Kong (money Service Operator licensed by the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department, licence 25-11-03304); UQPAY Pty Ltd in Australia (registered with AUSTRAC as a remittance and digital currency exchange provider). It is a non-bank financial institution and a Principal Member of Visa, Mastercard and UnionPay International, and each entity provides services within its own permitted scope.

08

Can individuals open a UQPAY account?

No. UQPAY is for registered businesses only, not personal use. Opening an account takes Know Your Business (KYB) verification, with documents such as business registration, director identification and bank verification, and the business has to meet UQPAY’s acceptance policy before services are activated.

09

Which currencies can UQPAY collect and hold?

A Global Account collects AUD, EUR, GBP, SGD and USD through local accounts in your company’s name, other major currencies through SWIFT, and stablecoins on supported blockchain networks. It holds 14 fiat currencies: AED, AUD, CAD, CHF, CNH, EUR, GBP, HKD, JPY, NOK, NZD, SEK, SGD and USD. You can convert between them, and between fiat and stablecoins, with the rate and fee shown before you confirm.

10

Does UQPAY charge an annual fee?

Not on Basic. UQPAY’s pricing FAQ says annual fees apply to the Pro and Enterprise plans, but it does not say how much. Ask for the figure before you upgrade.

11

Do UQPAY cards have fees?

UQPAY does not publish card issuance, foreign-transaction or ATM fees. Its physical card page advertises "Zero FX markup" on card spend. By plan, Basic includes 300 virtual and 3 physical cards with cashback from 1% on Ads/SaaS spend, and Pro 1,000 virtual and 20 physical cards with cashback from 1.2%.

Get started

Opening a UQPAY account

Basic has no monthly fee, so a sensible order is to open on Basic, run a month of real payments, and move to Pro once your card volume passes the breakeven. Ask UQPAY for the exact FX and payout rates on your corridors first.
