BOSS Money Fee Structure
* Estimated typical cost: the live mid-market rate minus this provider's typical exchange-rate markup, plus its typical fee. Real cost varies by corridor, amount, delivery and payment method, and promotions — check the provider for a live quote.
Wise uses the real mid-market rate with one clear fee and no markup hidden in the exchange rate. Worth a look before you send.
See Wise’s rate"$0 fees" is a first-3-transfers promo. New BOSS Money customers pay no fee on their first three transfers — great to start. After that, a small fee applies on most routes (bank and debit funding is often still free; credit cards cost more), plus a modest exchange-rate markup. This calculator prices the ongoing standard rate, so you see what you'll really pay over time.
BOSS Money is the money-transfer arm of IDT Corporation — the same company behind BOSS Revolution, the calling and top-up brand that immigrant communities in the US have used for years. That heritage shows: BOSS Money is built around the corridors those customers actually send to, with a deep cash- pickup network across Latin America and fast mobile and bank payouts further afield.
Its headline hook is zero fees — and for your first three transfers, that's literally true. After the promo, BOSS Money earns the normal way: a small fee (often $0 if you fund by bank or debit, a bit more by card) and a slim margin baked into the exchange rate. On the routes we measured, the all-in cost usually lands around 1%, which is competitive for a service with this much cash-pickup reach.

What BOSS Money Actually Costs From the US
A transfer service charges you two ways: a fee you can see and a markuptucked into the exchange rate. Here's what we measured live from BOSS Money's own pricing API — the standard numbers, after the first-3-transfers promo (fees shown for the default method; bank/debit funding is often free):
| Route | Fee | Rate markup | Payout |
|---|---|---|---|
| US → Mexico | ~$2.49 | 0.94% | Cash / bank / card |
| US → Philippines | $0 | 0.59% | Bank / wallet |
| US → Bangladesh | $0.99 | 1.30% | Bank / wallet |
| US → Guatemala | $0 | 1.14% | Cash / bank |
| US → Colombia | $2.49 | 1.59% | Bank / cash |
| US → Dominican Rep. | $0 | 3.34% | Cash / bank |
The pattern: on its core Latin America and Asia routes BOSS Money is genuinely cheap — often about 1% all-in once you add the fee and the markup together, and several corridors carry no fee at all when you fund by bank or debit. The margin climbs a little on smaller Caribbean currencies (the Dominican peso's ~3.3%). The one number that lets you compare fairly is total cost as a percentage of what you send — exactly what the calculator shows.
How You Pay Changes the Fee
BOSS Money's fee depends heavily on how you fund the transfer. The cheapest options are usually free even after the intro promo; cards cost more.
Bank (ACH) & debit
Usually $0 fee — the cheapest way to send, and what most people use.
BOSS Money wallet
Free from your in-app balance. Handy if you top up and send often.
Credit card
The most expensive — around $4.99 extra, because the card networks charge BOSS Money and it's passed on.
